WiA-Büro Spandau opens for personal consultations
From June 2nd, 2020, the WiA-Office (Willkommen-in-Arbeit-Büro Spandau) reopens for personal consultations. Our consultants offer appointments on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Jüdenstraße 30, 13597 Berlin. They provide multilingual support for all questions regarding applications, CVs, searching for jobs and trainings, terminations and short-time work as well as the searching for primary and further education.
Appointments can be made by phone and email as well as directly at the WiA-Office. Please come to your appointment on your own if possible and wear a mouth-nose protection. In addition to personal advice, telephone / online advice is still also possible.
News from the Federal Government
Federal Government and Federal States extend contact restrictions
Contact restrictions of keeping a distance of at least 1.5 meters will continue until June 29th. The federal government and the federal states have agreed on this. It is also recommended to keep the number of people you have contact with as low as possible as well as keeping the group of people as constant as possible.

News from the Senate Chancellery
All three lights of the senate‘s „Corona scale“ are back to green
The current reproduction number “R” is 0.9. The light for the indicator of the number of reproductions “R” is now green again after the figure R had exceeded the limit of 1.20 for the red area three times in a row (backwards: 1.37; 1.23; 1.22) .
The other two indicators continue to signal a green light with a new infection rate of 4.7 per 100,000 inhabitants within a week and 4,5% of the spaces in intensive care units required for COVID-19 patients.

News from the Spandau District
Gradual opening of the youth leisure facilities in Spandau
After some facilities such as the “Youth Theater Workshop”, the “Cafe Mitternachtssport”, the student clubs “Downtown” and “Schülerhaus” opened in Spandau last week, the facilities of the Spandau district now follow.
The following things are to be to considered when visiting the facilities:

The facilities may require wearing mouth-nose protection..

The contact restrictions apply in the facilities as well as in their outside areas.

The facilities are opened for fixed group offers with a limited number of participants. Teenagers have to register (see Link)

One-to-one discussions between children and parents can also take place in the facilities

Spandau‘s digital campaign week and World Game Day
From May 25th 2020 to May 29th 2020 the initiative “Kinder- und Jugendbeteiligung in Spandau”, the district office Spandau and other supporters realize the first digital Spandau campaign week.
Another highlight of the week is World Game Day on May 28th, ,2020. Children discover the world while playing, the corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic has only recently released many restrictions for children and teenagers. According to the motto "Out into nature", the German Children's Fund and the alliance "Right to Play" are initiating a photo contest. All children and families are invited to participate, there are great prizes to win.
