The current number of cases / Chancellor warns of "courage and caution"

According to the Robert Koch Institute, 182,028 people in Germany have been shown to be infected with the corona virus (as of June 2, 12:00 am). That is 213 more than the previous day. The number of deaths rose by 11 to 8,522. Around 166,400 people are considered recovered, about 600 more than the previous day.

 

According to the situation report of the infection rate (number of reproductions) with the corona virus in Germany is currently 0.95 (7-day R-value, status: June 1st, 0:00 a.m.). The reproduction number R denotes the number of people infected by a Covid-19 infected person on average.

 

Chancellor Merkel thanks the people in Germany for their precautions, prudence and responsibility. Moreover she announces an economic stabilization program. Merkel is hopeful that the path of opening can be continued without rekindling the infections: "If we remain courageous and vigilant, we could do it." At the same time, she pointed out the importance of the hygiene and distance rules: "Keeping a minimum distance, protecting mouth and nose where prescribed, washing hands - all of this is a prerequisite for us to be able to move more freely again."

Senate passes further easing measures

  • Events, meetings and gatherings:

    • Events and gatherings in the private or family area of up to 50 people are permitted if this is necessary for compelling reasons.

    • Other indoor events and gatherings are allowed from June 2, 2020 with up to 150 people and from June 30, 2020 up to 300 people. Other open-air events and gatherings are allowed from June 2, 2020 up to 200 people, from June 16, 2020 up to 500 people and from June 30, 2020 1,000 people.

    • The minimum distance of 1.5 meters must also be observed for meetings.

  • Church service: Religious-cultural events in the open air are permitted from May 30, 2020 with an unlimited number of people. Inside from June 2nd with 200 people and unlimited from June 16th.

  • Gyms: Fitness studios and similar companies, commercial sports facilities, sports-related commercial leisure activities, commercial dance and ballet schools as well as commercial educational offers that include the common sport activities may reopen from June. 2nd

  • Arcades: Arcades, casinos, betting agencies and similar establishments may be open to the public from June 2, 2020.

  • Cinemas: Cinemas can be opened from June 30, 2020. The outdoor cinemas are allowed to open from June 2nd.

  • Restaurants and Pubs: Pure pubs (guests may only be served at tables), smoking restaurants, shisha restaurants, shisha bars may be opened from June 2, 2020 (until 11 p.m.).

  • Right to demonstrate: Public gatherings under the open sky within the meaning of Article 8 of the Basic Law are permitted from May 30th without any numerical restriction of the participants if the minimum distance of 1.5 meters and other hygiene rules are observed.

Some of the outdoor pools in Berlin open again

At https://www.berlinerbaeder.de/ticket/ tickets can be booked for the already opened Berlin swimming pools. However, hygiene requirements and distance rules still apply to a visit.

 

News from the Spandau District

News from the Spandau District

Extension of the closure of the senior facilities / opening of the sports halls at the earliest from June 8th

All of the Spandau district's senior leisure facilities will remain closed until June 30, as the risk of infection from the Corona virus persists, especially for older people.

The sports halls in Spandau will reopen at the earliest from June 8th. There will be no general opening of the sports halls until further notice. The maximum number for the use of the halls should be 12 people and training of contact and team sports should remain prohibited.

Learning campaign Spandau online

The Spandau learning offensive was initiated by "Casa - Social and Cultural Networks", the Spandau City Library and the Spandau District Office. You can add the "Lernoffensive Spandau" as a contact via the "Telegram" app and ask your questions about parenting in chat from Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 

Fête de la Musique dieses Jahr digital

Due to the contact restrictions, the Fete de la Musique will take place this year in the form of live steams, living room concerts and balcony singing. The festival will take place on June 21, 2020.
